MAG-pie Alert!… #30 When iron blood markers show irregularities, especially low Ferritin, we know that’s code for the need for more magnesium, Ceruloplasmin (bioavailable copper), Riboflavin (B2).

MAG-pie & MAG-net Alert!…

Oh boy, I believe that this is #30 in the Iron Toxicity Series…

I’m going to start with three key quotations to set the stage:

“It’s not that I’m so smart. It’s just that I stay with the problem longer… ” — Albert Einstein…

“How wonderful that we have met with a paradox. Now we have some hope of making progress…” — Niels Bohr…

“If you can’t explain something simply, then you don’t really understand it.” — Albert Einstein…
albert

Einstein & Bohr understood Quantum Physics in a way that few on this Planet currently do, ever did, or likely ever will.

And while I don’t — in any — way profess to mirror their IQs, I do believe that I’ve amassed an understanding about Quantum Healing that is ENTIRELY lost on the conventional world of medicine, solely because they FAIL to recognize, NOR understand the MAG-ic of MINERALS, at a Quantum, frequency and energetic level…

Their ignorance is our MAG-nificent genius…

OK, so where are we headed today?…

Let’s be sure we’re CLEAR on the Paradox of Iron metabolism: ALL facets of Iron dynamics & metabolics are DEPENDENT on bioavailable Copper… So that when Iron blood markers show irregularities, esp. LOW Ferritin, we KNOW that that’s REALLY CODE for:
o Needing Mo’ Maggie…
o Needing Mo’ Cp (bioavailable Copper…)
o Needing Mo’ B2 (Riboflavin, which is KEY for Iron dynamics)
(These ^^^^ are ALL water soluble, btw…)

And most importantly, DON’T Need Mo’ Iron!!!
(There AIN’T NO mechanism to get rid of XS Iron… )

Again, there is a MAJOR difference between “Iron deficiency” — VERY RARE, and “Iron dysregulation” — VERY COMMON! This is a CENTRAL point…

So, given that we understand this Iron-ic “Paradox,” let me “stay with this problem” just a bit loooonger and make sure you get the “simplicity” of the explanation & the solution…

Here’s an article that I would STRONGLY advise you to read, and to share with your favorite lab-ordering M.ineral D.enialist:
http://www.jneurosci.org/content/22/14/5848.full.pdf

It is a penetrating study of the TOXICITY of Intracellular Iron, which is Ferrous (Fe2+) Iron. It is the “Reactive” form of Iron that causes so much trouble. And when this form of Iron mixes with the growing levels of H2O2 (think, hair loss, Hashi’s, Histamine Intolerance, which is an H2O2 machine: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3930938/ — and MANY other conditions that we’ll be talking about in subsequent Posts… ) it creates cellular chaos that we call Oxidative Stress…

And what mineral has notable qualities to PREVENT Oxidative Stress?… Why, Yes! None other than Maggie, who “sponsors” our Fav FB Group!!!

And for those that are NOT up on their “Fe-nton” Chemistry: Fe2+ and H2O2 => OH- (Hydroxyl Radical), which is THE most destructive Oxidant (ROS) on the Planet, as well as INSIDE our cells, and that’s a FACT… It is the very Oxidant that *Dings* our DNA and CAUSES all of the MTHFR Madness… (It’s always good to know HOW & WHY, wouldn’t you agree?… wink emoticon )

And what this Study ^^^^ REALLY does is clarify that there are 3 aspects to Iron metabolism that MUST be fully understood:
1) Accumulation of Iron… (the absorption of this mineral)
2) Sequestration of Iron… (the hiding from pathogens of this mineral)
3) Mobilization of Iron… (the release of Iron to do it’s MAG-ic)

What Allopathetic Medicine OBSESSES over is #1! And, imho, it is their Achilles Heel… and it is our metabolic undoing.

So the importance of this study is that the build up of Intracellular Iron is DEVASTATING to the metabolism of the cell, esp. the Neurons and Oligodendrocytes… (don’t you just LOVE those outrageously looooooong & scary words?…) In fact, here’s an important quotation from the Discussion: “Finally we have found that an elevation of [intracellular] Fe2+, but not extracellullar Fe2+, is ACUTELY TOXIC [emphasis added] to neurons and oligodendrocytes…” Wow!… That’s strong wording!…

We know what a Neuron is, it’s a “brain cell…” And the Oligo’s are is simply those cells that are designed to “make Myelin Sheath” — that’s the protective coating for the nerves, and it is a Copper-dependent process using Lysyl Oxidase… Hmmmmmmm…

Said another way, XS Unbound Iron KILLS both the brain cells and the Copper-dependent enzymes that then CAUSE neurodegeneration: AD, PD, MS, FA (Ataxia) and ASD… (Hey Einstein, is that “simple” enough for you?!?… 😉 )

And for those seeking the PLITO (Penetrating Look Into The Obvious… ) here’s your additional reading/sharing assignment:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4750634/pdf/main.pdf
As I’ve said a few times before, LACK of bioavailable Copper is DEVASTATING to the cellular mechanics & metabolism.

So that’s ^^^^ what happens when there’s an “Accumulation” issue.

As for the “Sequestration” issue, know that our bodies are finely hewn to KEEP IRON AWAY FROM PATHOGENS… Why? Because our Metabolism — and apparently NOT our Medics — know that these critters ALL feed off of the XS Unbound Iron. And that, too, is a fact. More on that in subsequent Posts — I promise!

And finally, what’s this “Mobilization” issue all about?…

It’s ALL about Ceruloplasmin (Cp). Cp’s GIFT to our cells & to our bodies is to ensure that Iron gets mobilized and moved to where it’s needed most. It is NOT intended to be “STORED” in Ferritin molecules in our blood. That is simply flawed contemporary thinking today. Red Blood Cell metabolism, and by inference Iron metabolism is an elegant “recycling” program that must be kept in a CONSTANT of movement…

So here’s the CLASSIC article on Ceruloplasmin (Cp) that is apparently no longer on the “approved” reading list in ANY schools of practitioner training:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC322742/

So, there you have it — once again… Maybe this idea that “Iron deficiency” being the World’s # 1 dietary issue might NOT be correct. I would say it a bit more bluntly, but I’ll hold with that conclusion. I’m sure you catch my drift!

I realize that this Post is looooong, that there’s alot of blah, blah, blah, but I am doing my level best to honor the sentiments of my Quantum Heroes noted above… stay with it, reveal the Paradox, put it in terms that even I would understand… 😉

I’m sure that this will stimulate even more chatter, so bring it on!

Have a blessed rest of your weekend, and I’ll look forward to our repartee on this Post in the coming days & weeks…

A votre sante!
